Roma Robinson

Roma Robinson supports the team at Pillar IP as Trademark Administrator and IP Agent-in-training — a role she’s diving into with curiosity, commitment, and a growing dedication to building sustainable Intellectual Property practices. With an Honours BA in Linguistics and a minor in Biology from the University of Ottawa, Roma brings a unique blend of precision, structure, and calm focus to a field where long-term value is built one detail at a time.
Roma’s passion for sustainability and intentional living aligns closely with Pillar IP’s mission to cultivate resilient, future-focused IP strategies. Whether she’s streamlining trademark processes or helping lay the groundwork for enduring brand protection, she approaches her work with the same care and clarity she brings to her daily life.
When she’s not immersed in the world of IP, Roma recharges through movement, nature, and quality time with her cat, Mochi — a reminder that longevity and balance go hand in paw.
Mochi Robinson

Mochi — Assistant & Executive Lap Warmer

Say hello to Mochi, the ever-composed feline who holds the prestigious role of Assistant in our Ottawa branch office at Pillar IP. Known for her impeccable punctuality (especially around meal times), Mochi brings elegance and order to the team — on her own terms.

With a quiet but commanding presence, Mochi is responsible for overseeing clerical duties, warming laps during long email threads, and sitting directly on whatever document you’re trying to read. Her typing skills are… untraditional, but her ability to stare disapprovingly at a messy inbox is unmatched.

Outside of her clerical duties, Mochi enjoys minimalist décor (empty boxes), sustainable leisure (sunbathing), and stress reduction through purring meditation. She ensures all tasks are completed — eventually — and that no snack (especially ice cream) is consumed unobserved.
In a world of noise, Mochi brings stillness. In an office of hustle, she brings poise. And in true secretary fashion, she knows everything — but says nothing.
